This page is in love, dedication and tribute to the life, love, compassion, service and legacy of Marcus Christian Carroll, Snohomish Regional Fire & Rescue #1908.
This wine label is a labor of love, in love, honor and dedication to my son, Marcus Christian Carroll.
Marcus Christian Carroll of Redmond, WA. was born in Houston, TX on December 23, 1996. Marcus moved back to Issaquah WA. with his mom when he was 2 months old and spent the first year of his life living with his mom, Nana and aunties in Issaquah, WA. In 1999, Marcus and his mom moved to the Houghton neighborhood in Kirkland, where he attended Montessori then moved on to pre-K at Lakeview Elementary, attending K-6 and was so very blessed to be accompanied by his same core group of friends from 4 years of age through his Sr year. Marcus started 7th grade at KJH (Kirkland Jr High), continuing his life and education in Kirkland, growing up, playing baseball and enjoying his youth with the same friends he had been with since pre-K, eventually graduating from LW (Lake Washington High School). Marcus was an avid car enthusiast (gearhead) and baseball player in the KALL League, on All-Stars and played baseball year-round, loving the Yankees and Dallas Cowboys, loved working out and spending time outdoors in nature and with his GSD Chief. Marcus also loved spending time with family, taking camping trips every summer and had recently gotten into off-roading and 'Overlander' camping with his new GMC Duramax 2500. Marcus, his mom and step-dad moved from the Houghton/Bridle Trails area of Kirkland to Redmond in 2016 and he immediately immersed himself into the community. Marcus had graduated LW with a Fire Cert I and attended the Fire Academy from 2016-2017 at which point he graduated the academy and became a full fledged firefighter/recruit. His first Fire Department was King County District #44 (Mountain View), where he learned wildfire and swift water rescue as well as the day-to-day operations and the call to duty as a firefighter. Interestingly enough, since the age of 3 Marcus had talked about and dreamed of becoming a firefighter in the local community. He had family members in the fire service and would often go visit them, spreading his message of his love, care and compassion for all. Marcus was promoted to part-time with North County Fire Department in Stanwood, WA in 2017 where he worked diligently, continuing to grow towards becoming career. Early in 2018, Marcus went through the process of being hired as a part-time firefighter with Snohomish County District #7 and thoroughly enjoyed the brotherhood he quickly became a part of, landing him the title of ‘prank war champion’. Marcus was highly regarded, respected and looked up to as well as a mentor for fellow firefighters and so many of his friends. Everyone in Marcus’ fire family described him as a clear ‘up and comer’ in the district and his commitment, dedication and care for his fellow firefighters, along with his family and community shone threw in everything Marcus touched. Marcus’ heart and soul were absolutely pure, and he is so very loved and missed every moment of every day, but his life, service, compassion and legacy will continue to live on and grow always.
Just recently, Marcus had tested in the top 5 out of hundreds and even thousands at multiple area stations and was offered fulltime positions with Seattle Fire Department as well as Snohomish County District #7 (now Snohomish Regional Fire & Rescue). Marcus had a meeting with the Chief for Snohomish District #7 the following week to sign his career firefighter paper work, which would be a promotion to a career/fulltime firefighter, making a choice to accept his offer and stay with his brothers and sisters at Snohomish County District # 7. On May 30, Marcus drove to Cle Elum, WA for a day hike which he often did to spend time in nature, scout out new camping sights for him and his German Shepard, Chief when early in the evening, a storm quickly rolled in with winds up to 70 mph. While trying to get back to his truck, Marcus lost his footing, causing him to fall back, hitting his head, which caused an immediate brain bleed- that was the moment God called my precious, brave, compassionate, loving, epic, magical son Home. I know he didn’t suffer a single second. We would like to thank the US Air Force, The FBI, King County Search & Rescue and so many hundreds of firefighters who upon hearing that Marcus was missing immediately dispatched and went into action, driving to Cle Elum from all over the state to help in the search for their fellow brother. Marcus is survived by his mother Tauna Carroll, his stepped-up dad, Damian Warren, his loyal GSD Chief, his Nana Renate Gordon, his Popo John Bieling, his 4 aunties; Kristan Bieling, Hannah Gordon, Gretchen Rice, Thea Bieling, his entire fire family from Sno7, North County and King County Fire District #44 (Mountain View) along with his biological father Marcus M. Carroll and extended family along with hundreds of friends and community members who will miss him dearly, forever and always.

Forever in our hearts, our thoughts and memories. Gone from this earth, but never from our thoughts, our hearts, so many beautiful and loving moments, laughs and memories. Marcus Christian will live on through each of us and he will never ever be forgotten.
In honor and tribute to Marcus, we are partnering with Northwest Wine Cellars to help fund Marcus' educational foundation which will help future firefighters, as well as spread Marcus Christian's message of LOVE and COMPASSION. The foundation will ensure that Marcus Christian's light will be a beacon for so very many, for all eternity. A donation of $5.00 from every bottle sale will go to Marcus’ foundation (MCC23, which is also Marcus' initials, Marcus Christian Carroll = Marcus’ Caring and Compassion for all). For detailed ordering info, see below.
Here ( https://www.northwestcellars.com/wines.html ) is a link to a wine fundraiser I started with my family, in loving honor and tribute to Marcus Christian. I, along with input from family and friends created the label and partnered with a local winery on this amazing, beautiful labor of LOVE. The winery will donate $5 from every bottle sale to Marcus’ foundation.
Please pass it around to friends and family. We would like for this event to gain as much traction as possible in an effort to create an everlasting legacy for generations to come.

Thank you to everyone that has taken the time to honor Marcus Christian, his life, his service, his love of nature, living and loving life to the fullest, every moment. Marcus' legacy will continue to go on for generations. In addition to the wine event, we are working with the town of Cle Elum, WA to have a bench dedicated in Flag Pole Park. Two additional benches will be donated in Marcus' name, one to his elementary school in Kirkland, WA and one dedicated to the City of Redmond Parks Department and placed along the Burke Gilman Trail. We are also working with the various fire departments that Marcus' worked at to plant a compact fire bush in Marcus Christian's honor and tribute.
Lastly, we will be planting 300 Tamarack Evergreen seedlings throughout the Mt. Baker Snoqualmie National Forest (route to Cle Elum, WA along I-90), as well as the Okanogan Wenatchee National Forest (route to Leavenworth, WA along Hwy 2) - both destinations are areas of the state that Marcus was drawn to. He enjoyed the calm of nature, the vastness of the mountains and the opportunity to be at one with his thoughts, nature, the peacefulness, and the ability to escape all the hustle and bustle of every day life, not only as a firefighter (which he loved and was passionate about) but to be at one with himself - to have the ability to reflect on his life, how much he had accomplished in such a short time, how proud he was of himself, his accomplishments, his love for his Best Friend, Chief, his German Shepard, his deep love and appreciation for his family, his fire family, friends and the community in which he lived. Marcus lived each day to the fullest, he knew he was special and so very blessed; one of God's chosen ones.
Bobo, I love and miss you infinity, my precious baby boy. My Marcus Christian. You are forever a part of me, my heart, my soul and my every thought, and I know you are always with me. Until I can hold you once again in my arms, I will hold you in my dreams...I LOVE YOU! -always, your mama xoxo
